The Gundagai River Walk starts at Yarri Park, as you take in the native parkland along Morleys Creek. Follow the path along Middleton Drive with the picturesque golf course on your right and the Gundagai Common and Historic Railway Bridge on your left. Follow the path across the historic Prince Alfred Bridge over the Murrumbidgee River.

To continue your journey all the way to the Murrumbidgee River follow Mount Street along past the Old Bridge Inn and Star Hotel, turn right onto Ridge Street and follow the dirt road along to Ferry Street. Take a right hand turn and follow the road to the Murrumbidgee River.

Bring a fishing rod and try to hook a Murray Cod, Yellow Belly or Trout -https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-for-a-recreational-fishing-licence. There is a flat, shaded, grassed area suited for small picnic’s, but make sure you take your rubbish with you as there are no bins provided.

The track is also a great cycling trail which can be extended out for a longer journey to the South Gundagai Rotary Lookout or a casual stroll to unwind after a hard day on the road.
